Thematic Map Creation
A map is a general (conventional) picture of the earth's surface on a flat plane that is reduced to a certain scale and is equipped with information and writing as symbols. Since this is a conventional drawing, a map depicts all the features present on the earth's surface, including mountains, lakes, rivers, oceans, and roads, but these features are described or illustrated only with certain appropriate symbols.
Some features of thematic maps include:
- Having a specific theme: Derived from the understanding that maps are based on specific goals and based on specific themes, thematic maps have specific themes. The theme of this thematic map is illustrated by the changing weather in Indonesia. With this theme, the map displayed only contains a map of the Indonesian region which is equipped with weather information that occurs in each region.
- The data comes from various maps that have been overlaid (an important procedure in GIS (Geographical Information System) analysis. The information it contains is less detailed. This detailed data comes from various maps that have been processed and then customized to become more presentable and easy to read and understand.
- Information presented only on the selected theme: Shows limited data on the selected topic. An example is the thematic map of climate change. Information only relates to the weather.
Thematic map is a regional information that is quite easy to understand by readers, complete your paper, journal, thesis, thesis or dissertation with a thematic map. Thematic maps are usually required if statistical analysis uses panel data regression. Please contact Mr. Bens for thematic map-making services.
